I’m Casey Haist - a creative communicator, visionary, artist, writer and certified “vision + hope coach.” I’m also a wife and a Mom of two boys. I’ve owned business, Breath of Life Essentials, and written a book, Masterpiece Material.

While I grew my business and published my book, my heart has grown for local makers, business owners and authors. I want to help them shine in the gifts God’s given them and that’s what The Light Stand Local Market exists to do.

I see so much good and “gold” in those who are creating within our own communities. I see the value in what they create. I hope here, you see it too.

The Light Stand Local Market exists to support the gifts of others and raise up local makers.

Our work is inspired by Matthew 5:14 - “You are here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. If I make you light-bearers I won’t hide you, but put you on a light stand.”

I believe my life’s call on this earth is creating light stands, being the support that allows the beautiful and intentional work of others to be seen so that through it, we can all experience more of God.

There’s so much good and beauty to be found and reflected from the hands of those right around us. People with gifts and goods to give, that are made in the image of God are right here, in our local community. We currently feature Indiana and Michigan makers, small business owners and authors. A portion of our proceeds give back to local community outreach programs.

Stepping into your gifts always involves some sort of risk. Creating takes heart and it takes risk! We need “light stands,” those that will come beside us, cheer us on in our gifts and remind us that they have value. As a child of God, local maker, artist, business owner and author, I have a heart for others to see the good and value in what they create and have to offer.
